Largemouth Bass:

Bass fishing slowed this week for both numbers and size. A National Bass West tournament with 33 teams was won with a meager 12 pounds last Saturday. Fish will bite a slow presentation like the C3 Baits Shimmy on the finesse Carolina rig in the twenty to thirty foot zone. There is a decent Senko bite on the warmer days as well. Main lake points are holding the bulk of the fish, with both the Ski Arm and Fish Arm producing.

Striped Bass:

A sizeable Trout plant of 1800 pounds went in on Friday and fish in the five to ten pound range were active on most Trout imitations like Lunker Punkers, Huddlestons and Spro BBZ-1 swimbaits. The bigger fish were somewhat elusive with bluebird skies over the weekend. Rain this coming week should bring the big boys out to play. Smaller Stripers continue to bite Alabama rigs and Yak Flies trolled on lead core line with a few bigger fish mixed in. Prime trolling depths are twenty to forty feet. The Ski Arm is holding good numbers of fish from Center Point up to Necktie Canyon.
