Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass:

The Bass fishing remains sporadic as fish can be found in water anywhere from five to twenty five feet deep. Main-lake points and transition areas between points and bluffs leading into the shallower coves and flats are good places to begin the search. Dropshot and Carolina rigged finesse plastics like the C3 Baits Ice Pick and 4″ straight tail Roboworm in Oxblood Red and Halogram Shad hues are getting bit. Wacky rigged stick worms like the C3 Baits Slim Pro or Yamamoto Senko are also getting some attention on bluff walls and transition zones near the main lake. The morning bite remains as the best activity window.

Striped Bass:

The cut bait bite has yet to gain strength up at the buoy line at the end of the Ski Arm, most likely due to the huge volume of water coming in from the forebay. The trolling bite is slowly coming on with some fish being caught on umbrella rigs with a small swimbait or KastMaster on a short leader. Use lead core line to get down to the twenty five foot zone where most of the activity is. The area around Kong Island, Center Point and the North side of the Fish Arm are good places to start.
