Lake Piru Fish Report   04-27-2024

Largemouth Bass:

Bass fishing remains steady for fish averaging one to three pounds. Dropshot and Texas rigged purple worms fished in two to ten feet of water are getting the majority of the bites just about anywhere on the lake. Wacky rigged Senkos in green pumpkin are also producing some good fish. There is a developing bite on crankbaits, especially the jointed Rapala Shad Rap, as the Bass are starting to chase Shad. Crappie are stacking up in the mouths of the some of the coves feeding on the drifting Shad Schools yet remain hard to target without an all day effort and good sonar skills.

Lake Conditions:

Water Clarity  3-5′

Lake Level: 3′ from full
