Largemouth Bass:

High winds closed the lake Monday and Tuesday but fishing rebounded mid-week at temps stabilized. Dropshots, Ned rigs and Carolina rigs are all getting bites fished in the ten to twenty foot zone. Casting Senko’s up tight to main lake points and bluffs has been our best morning presentation, then we’re switching to the dropshot and Carolina rigs once the wind starts up. Green Pumpkin and Black with blue flake for the Senko’s, and Neptune Shad for the C3 Baits Shimmy’s, seem to be the only colors necessary.

Striped Bass:

Swimbait fish are showing after a mid-week Trout plant with fish from five to twenty pounds being landed by patient anglers. 8″ Huddleston swimbaits and Glide baits like the Baitsanity Antidote and River 2 Sea S-Waiver are getting attention. Smaller Stripers are still hitting trolled Alabama rigs and Yak Flies on lead core line. Most of the action is within view of the marina.
