Largemouth Bass:

Largemouth Bass fishing continues it’s strong Fall pattern. Topwater lures, finesse baits and live Shad are all productive techniques, allowing anglers to choose their favorite way to go about catching quality fish to five pounds. Lucky Craft Gunfish and weightless Zoom Flukes have been our best topwater lures. The Fish Arm and the West ramp have been good areas to look for surface-busting fish. There have been some nice Smallmouth in the mix as well as some Stripers. Dropshotting C3 Baits Ice Picks and Shimmys in 10′ to 20′ of water continue to put quality Bass in the boat as well.

Striped Bass:

Striper fishing is consistent with a pretty solid surface bite in the mornings and afternoon. Vertical jigging has been productive for those willing to locate the deeper schools of fish. Krocodiles and Kastmasters are a better choice than the ice jig for now. There have been some bigger fish caught underneath the Largemouth boils on small shad swimbaits and weighted flukes.

Castaic Afterbay:

We are not fishing the lagoon right now as most of our time has been focused on Striped Bass.
